Artistic Director of Althafen Foundation

From the press release of Althafen Foundation:

The Althafen Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of acclaimed cellist Mark Prihodko as its new Artistic Director. Prihodko brings a wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and a passion for fostering artistic excellence and community engagement to this critical role.

Founded in 2021, the foundation has quickly become a beacon for promoting excellence in the cultural, educational, and charitable sectors. With Prihodko at the helm, the foundation is poised to expand its impact and reach even greater impact.

The vision for the Althafen Foundation is rooted in the belief that artists have the power to drive meaningful change. "I am thrilled to lead an organization that not only supports artistic excellence but also prioritizes community engagement and global collaboration," Prihodko stated. "Our goal is to create a foundation that artists can rely on for support, inspiration, and opportunities to connect with audiences worldwide."

The Althafen Foundation will continue to administer and expand its six core programs: the Young Artist Program, the Emerging Artist Spotlight Program, the Young Artist Program, the Internship Program, the Scholarship Program, and the Artist in Spotlight Program. These initiatives aim to nurture talent, provide critical support, and foster a global community of artists dedicated to cultural, educational, and charitable excellence.

The Althafen Foundation invites the public to join in celebrating this new chapter under Mark Prihodko’s leadership. The opening night of the Summer Arts Lounge will take place on June 7th, featuring a performance by the Alinde Quartet and special guest speakers. This event marks the beginning of a vibrant summer of cultural exchange, creativity, and community engagement.
